'Heart' a well-sung, silky smooth tribute to Tony Bennett

The crowd-pleasing revue recalls Bennett's peak years in the 1950s and early '60s before the rock 'n' roll movement sent his career into a 20-year tailspin.

Director Nick DeGruccio (who also staged "My Way" for the Welk) has assembled a three-member cast that's easily the best vocal ensembles ever heard at the Welk.

The intermissionless show is thoroughly entertaining, regardless of audience members' age or musical tastes. If you're not a fan of Tony Bennett when you walk in the door, you're bound to be one when you leave.
